Lesson observations and performance management reviews appear to make little difference to the improvement of individuals’ performance. Have you ever considered why? Dr Rogers has worked closely with individuals over a number of years through coaching and personal development roles developing alternative ways of developing professional learning. Using deliberate practice, methods of feedback and incremental coaching, significant gains have been made in professionals’ development. In a recent leadership programme delivered for a multi-academy trust the additional coaching alongside NPQ training was cited as providing the greatest impact on perceived leadership efficacy, career opportunities and self-management. There is a focus on identifying evidence to inform decision making and strategy and critically engaging and questioning. Alongside this is a priority for personal well-being and investment. It is about being more effective and happier in both work and life. Bespoke coaching programmes can be created at whatever level of personal or professional requirements.
