International School Visits

In partnership with colleagues at Dr Rogers organises short visits to Copenhagen in Denmark. The experience includes working with the Nordic Schools to understand how Nordic school systems are so successful, to visit schools, and to learn more about the Nordic Teaching Model. Prices vary depending on duration of stay, but with direct flights from Newquay, Bristol and London this is a very popular and insightful experience. Please contact Dr Rogers for further information.

I gained a lot from the trip. It gave me the time and space to reflect on my own leadership practice . I came away with a clearer direction on where I want to take my responsibilities as a leaders and build in more trust (in place of accountability/fear)

I absolutely loved the trip! I feel that I learnt so much about myself as a teacher and a leader, but also reflected on our school and our practice. I gained ideas on how we can make small changes to what we do to have more of a focus on the children’s well-being in such a frantic school day that we have in England.

It was both enjoyable and informative and the balance was absolutely spot on. The educational parts were enjoyable and the enjoyable bits were educational.

I have returned back feeling inspired and ready to implement new ways to reinforce well being in my classroom. It has helped me to reflect as a practitioner.

I felt very privileged to have been on the trip and can only hope more comes from this. I felt very inspired by the trip and their educational system and it was also brilliant to work with like minded people on something I feel passionately about. I felt there were little areas of genius that I could easily implement into my classroom and that will only help to support my learners further

The trip was such an inspirational experience. Firstly, having the opportunity to build relationships with colleagues across the federation lead to some really engaging and effective discussions about my our practice. Ideas were shared and advice given from people with different view points and experiences. Learning about the Nordic Approach and having discussions with other educators was incredibly valuable in demonstrating ways in which we can improve and adapt the great things we are already doing. Their focus on theory and research was interesting to hear and I enjoyed looking at what we do from a different perspective because of these discussions. All leaders on this trip were knowledgeable, engaging and were very effective at facilitating high quality discussions about the experiences we were part of.
